Journal of Arabic Science and Humanities

Aims & Scope

The Journal of Arabic Sciences and Humanities (JASH) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly by Qassim University. The journal reports on all aspects of the humanities and social sciences, with the aim of fostering dialogue between Arab research traditions and global academic debates. Its mission is to publish original and rigorous studies that advance understanding of human culture, society, and history, while contributing to cultural, social, and intellectual progress locally, regionally, and internationally.

Topics

JASH focuses on well-defined fields within the humanities and social sciences, with particular emphasis on the Arab and Saudi context. Specific topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Linguistics, Literature, and Translation: Arabic linguistics and literature, English linguistics and literature, and translation studies.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: Arab and Islamic history, heritage studies, sociology, social work, geography, human geography, and population studies.

The journal encourages contributions that adopt quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches, as well as interdisciplinary research connecting language, culture, and society.

Types of Articles

The journal welcomes submissions of full-length research articles and review essays encompassing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches. Submissions should not exceed 12,000 words (including references and appendixes).
