Abstract English

This study is concerned with measuring the level of compliance with traffic regulations and road safety among female drivers in Al-Qassim Region. It aims to identify the demographics characteristics of female drivers in the region and their relationship to the level of compliance with regulations and awareness of traffic safety, as well as to reveal the best means of disseminating knowledge of traffic systems among women. A sample of (400) questionnaires was distributed to female drivers who got a driving license from Al-Qassim Traffic Department. The study found that: the degree of women’s compliance with traffic regulations is high, and their participation in traffic accidents is remarkably low. The violation of exceeding specified speed, wrong parking, and driving a vehicle without driving license are the most common traffic violation among women. There is a relationship between age, educational level, marital status, monthly income and driving a vehicle without driving license. It also found that social media platforms are the best in disseminating knowledge and traffic culture among women. The study recommended the adoption of a strategy between the Traffic Department in the region, girls’ education schools and Qassim University to raise the level of traffic safety, and increase the number of driving schools in the region

تعنى هذه الدِّراسةبقياس مستوى الالتزام بالأنظمةالمروريَّة والسَّلامة علىالطُّرقلدى النِّساء قائداتالسيَّارة بمنطقة القصيم،وتهدف إلى التعرُّف على الخصائص الديموغرافية لقائداتالسيَّارة بالمنطقة وعلاقتها بمستوى الالتزامبالأنظمةوالوعي بالسَّلامة المروريَّة،كما تهدف إلى الكشف عن أفضل الوسائل في نشر المعرفة بالأنظمةالمروريَّة لدى النِّساء.وقد تم الاعتماد على عيِّنة مُكوَّنة من (400)استبانةوُزِّعَتعلى قائداتالسيَّارة الحاصلات على رخصة قيادة من إدارة المرور بمنطقة القصيم.وقد توصَّلَت الدِّراسة إلى:أندرجة التزام النِّساء بالأنظمة المروريَّة تُعَدّعالية، وأن نسبة مشاركتهنَّفي الحوادث المروريَّة منخفضة بشكل ملحوظ،وأنمخالفة السُّرعة والوقوف الخاطئ والقيادة قبل الحصول على الرخصة أكثر أنواع المخالفات شيوعًاعند النِّساء، وأن هناك علاقة بين العمر والمستوى التعليمي والحالة الاجتماعية والدَّخل الشهري والقيادة قبل الحصول على الرُّخصة، كما توصَّلَت إلى أفضلية منصات التواصل الاجتماعي في نَشْر المعرفة والثَّقافة المروريَّةلدى النِّساء.وأوصت الدِّراسة بـــ: تبنِّي استراتيجيَّة بين إدارة المرور في المنطقةومدارس تعليم البنات وجامعة القصيم لرفع مستوى السَّلامة المروريَّة، وزيادة أعدادمدارس تعليم القيادة في المنطقة.
