Abstract English

This research aims to study the Thresholds in the poetry collection (Hesses) by the Saudi poet Hasan Al-Salhabi, according to the semiotic approach. The research was divided into an introduction, a preface, and two sections. The preface discusses the theoretical aspect of Theshols theory, which will help in analyzing the research data accordingly. While the first section addresses the external Thresholds, the second section deals with the internal ones, and it was concluded that the Thresholds ofthis collection were able to provide a preliminary glance of the text, however, the title was also able hid the meaning, and give this feature to the texts that were able to limit meanings in the whispering, talking to the soul, and lacking in the self and what surrounds it. The dedication represented an emotional stage for presenting the collection and linking it to a specific subject that he did not name, but he made it at the core of the interpretation process. As for the cover, it came to match the title in that it refers to what the title referred to in terms of whispering, lack, and absence. Then the internal headings came to represent crossing thresholds through which the reader crosses into the text, but the issue did not stop at that, the titles were at a time unclear, but the texts came to clarify them and work to clarify their dimensions and vice versa

الملخص العربي

يسعى هذا البحث إلى دراسة العتبات في ديوان (هسيس) للشاعر السعوديحسن الصلهبي، وفق أدواتالمنهج السيميائي، وتم تقسيمه إلى مقدمة وتمهيد ومبحثين، ناقش التمهيد أبرز ما يتعلق بنظرية العتبات النصية مما سيضيئ البحث ويجلّي أبرز خطوطه، في حين تطرقالمبحث الأول إلى العتباتالخارجية، وتطرق المبحث الثاني إلى العتبات الداخلية، وقد توصل إلى أن عتبات هذا الديوان قد استطاعت أن تقدم ملمحًا أوليا عن المتن، كما استطاع العنوان أن يضمر المعي به، وجعل توضيح ذلك للنصوص التي استطاعت أن تحصر ماهيته في اهممس واحدديث إلى النسس والافتقار لدى الذات وما يحيط بها. ومثّل الإهداء مرحلة شعورية لتقديم الديوان وربطه بذات معينةلم يسمِّها لكنه جعلها في صلب عملية التأويل، أما الغلاف فقد جاء ليتواءم مع العنوان من حيث إنهيحيل إلى ما أحال إليه العنوان من اهممس والافتقار والغياب، ثم جاءت العناوين الداخلية لتمثل عتبات عبور يعبر القارئ منها إلى النص، لكن المسألة لم تتوقف عند ذلك فقد كانت العناوين في حدظة غير واضحة المعالم بل جاءت النصوص لتجليها وتعمل على توضيح أبعادها والعكس
