    Abstract English

    Abn Jeni had efforts to explain and interpret Sibawayh book (Alketab), although he did not specify a book for that, but they were scattered throughout his books. Those interpretations and explanations were a clear evidence of his realization of Sibawayh decent position and importance of his book. Abn Jeni aimed to repel the wrong understanding of Sibawayh words or carrying his opinion in a way other than what was intended and this what the research tried to prove by studying morphological and syntactical issues in which Abn Jeni explained Sibawayh purpose and his opinion and invalidated every other opinion that could be carried by his words.

    الملخص العربي

    كانت لابن جني جهودٌ في تفسير كلام سيبويه وشرحه، وإن لم يفرد لذلك كتابًا، أو يخصص له مصنَّفًا، بل إن تلكم الشروحات والتفسيرات متفرقة في كتبه الجليلة، وفي هذا دليل على كبيرعنايته بكتاب سيبويه، وإدراكه لمكانته، ومن الواضح أن من غايات ابن جني في تفسيره لكلام سيبويه دفع ما قد يُتوهم من فهم خاطئ لكلامه، أو حمل لمذهبه على غير الوجه المراد، وهذا ما سعى البحث لإثباته من خلال دراسة مسائل نحوية وصرفية شرح فيها ابن جني مراد سيبويه ومذهبه، وأبطل كل مذهب آخر يمكن أن يحمل عليه كلامه.
