Abstract English

In response to the Saudi government’s declaration of designating the date March 11th as an official Flag Day, this study employs the semiotic approach in the communication and semantics to describes and analyses the different poets’ readings and their emphasis on some of significant connotations towards the symbols of Saudi Flags as indicated in the blog ‘Diwan Al-Alam’. The study concludes that the poets’ direct reading of the Flag’s symbols relies mainly on the referential function to refer to the connotations with transparency and clarity, while their technical readings depend on the poetic function that inserts the pleasure for causing a greater impact. Moreover, their technical readings take the manifestations of semantic expansion, portrayal and novelty as a support for the poetic functions. The most symbols occurred in the poets’ readings are Greenery, whiteness, sword, and the word of monotheism.

الملخص العربي

يعتمد البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي مستعينًا بالمنجز السيميائي في التّواصل والدّلالة، ومَعنيًّا بقراءات الشعراء لرموز العَلم السعودي في المدونة المنتخبة (ديوان العَلم)؛ بالنظر إلى أنها استجابةٌ لإعلان الدولة -تحديد يوم الحادي عشر من شهر مارس يومًا للاحتفاء بالعَلم- ورسائلُ مقصودة ذات وظائف مختلفة. وهدفَ البحث إلى الوقوف على طرق قراءة الشعراء لرموز العَلم وغايتهم من التركيز على بعضها، وجاء في تمهيد عرّف بالعَلم السعودي والمدوّنة، ومبحثين حاورا طرق قراءة الشعراء لرموز العَلم. وقد انتهى البحث بخاتمة جمعت نتائجه، ومن أبرزها: أن قراءة الشعراء المباشرة لرموز العَلم قد اتكأت على الوظيفة المرجعية من أجل إيصال الدلالات بشفافية ووضوح، بينما اتكأت قراءتهم الفنية على الوظيفة الشعرية التي أضافت هدف المتعة لإحداث تأثير أكبر؛ متخذةً مظاهر التوسيع الدلالي والتصوير والبديع معينًا لها على ذلك. وجاءت الخضرة والبياض والسيف وكلمة التوحيد أكثرَ الرموز حضورًا في قراءة الشعراء لغايات مقصودة.
