Abstract English

The paper is entitled “Women Recruitment Scheme for the Reconquest of Bait Al-Maqdis in the Middle Ages as outlined in Pierre Dubois's The Recovery of the Holy Land”. It deals with the ideas presented in this book (Pierre Dubois, 1999) that relate to women Recruitment Scheme for the Reconquest of Bait Al-Maqdis in the Middle Ages. This book contained reformist ideas, and the most important of which was the book the Recovery the Holy Land. This book was addressed to the most important European kings at that time and encouraged the king to send a new crusade to the Islamic East for reclaiming the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem. The book presents many reform ideas and proposals at all levels and among these ideas include incorporating women, regardless of their age or social class. This method is considered an organized recruitment by the writer in the medieval era. This recruitment and planning preceded modern colonialism in its methods and goals.

الملخص العربي

تتناول الدراسة مخطط تجنيد المرأة لمحاولة إعادة احتلال بيت المقدس في العصور الوسطى من خلال كتاب "استرداد الأرض المقدسة" (1999) لبيير دوبوا Pierre Dubois، محامي العصر الوسيط الأوروبي، الذي ألف العديد من الكتب والرسائل التي حملت أفكار إصلاحية أهمها كتاب استرداد الأرض المقدسة الذي كان موجهاً لأهم ملوك أوروبا آنذاك مناشداً إياهم شن حملة صليبية جديدة على المشرق الإسلامي لإعادة احتلال بيت المقدس على الساحل الشامي والذي طُرد منه الصليبيون في عام 1291م/ 690ه، لذا طرح بيير دوبوا العديد من الأفكار الإصلاحية والمقترحات التي طالت الجميع من مؤسسات سياسية ودينية واجتماعية وعسكرية وعلمية، شمل فيها المرأة من خلال استخدام الوسائل المشروعة وغير المشروعة لتدريبها بشكل جيد، بصرف النظر عن سنها أو طبقتها الاجتماعية، وهو يُعد تجنيد مُنظم من قِبله في حقبة العصور الوسطى والذي سبق فيه بيير دوبوا الاستعمار الحديث في أساليبه وغايته.
