Abstract English

This study explores the concept of linguistic dependency direction from Mel’čuk’s meaning-text theory, which highlights how dependency can vary in different directions, even within the same linguistic level. Focusing on the morphological level, it examines the variation of dependency direction in Arabic, particularly in areas of agreement such as semantically linked adjectives and demonstrative pronouns. The research applies Mel’čuk’s theory to analyze Arabic grammar, aiming to enhance understanding of its morphological structures. The findings reveal that morphological attachment patterns in Arabic can follow a single linear order or vary in multiple ways. One notable variation is the attachment of two lexical units to a single unit in the sentence, as observed with causal adjectives and demonstrative pronouns. This study underscores the relevance of the meaning-text theory in modern linguistics and its application to Arabic morphology

الملخص العربي

ظهر مفهوم اتجاه التعلُّق اللغوي في نظرية (معنى–نص) لمالتشوك (Mel’čuk)، الذي أكَّدَ أنَّ التعلُّق اللغوي يتحقق -غالبًا- في اتجاهات متباينة في مستويات الجملة اللغوية المختلفة، وقد يكون التباين في المستوى اللغوي نفسه؛ كما في التعلُّق الصرفي موضوع هذا البحث، الذي يوضِّح المقصود باتجاه التعلُّق اللغوي، ويركِّز على تباينه في المستوى الصرفي تحديدًا، ويطبِّق نتائج النظرية على موضعين مهمَّين من مواضع المطابقة المتعددة في الجملة العربية؛ هما: النعت السببي، وأسماء الإشارة التخاطبيَّة. ويستمدُّ البحث قيمته من أهمية نظرية (معنى-نص) في الدرس اللساني الحديث، وإفادته منها في قراءة التراث النحوي العربي، وتطبيقها على اللغة العربية الثريَّة بالعلاقات الصرفية، وتسليط الضوء على اختلاف توجيه التعلُّق الصرفي، والاستدلال عليه في الجملة العربية. وخلص البحث إلى أنَّ اتجاهات التعلُّق الصرفي في الجملة العربية قد تتَّحِد بترتيب خطيٍّ واحدٍ؛ وقد تتباين -غالبًا- بأكثر من طريقة؛ منها: أن تراقب وحدتان معجميتان وحدةً معجميةً واحدةً في الجملة؛ كما في: النعت السببي، وأسماء الإشارة التخاطبيَّة.
