Abstract English

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Protection from Abuse System and the Child Protection System in reducing domestic violence from the perspective of workers in family protection centers. The researcher employed the social survey method as the study’s methodological approach. The study population consisted of all employees working in family protection centers across all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, totaling (355) individuals. A sample of (215) participants was selected. The questionnaire was used as the primary data collection instrument.

The study yielded several key findings, including:

1. The level of effectiveness of the Protection from Abuse System in reducing domestic violence was found to be very high from the perspective of the study participants, with an overall mean score of (4.27 out of 5.00).

2. The level of effectiveness of the Child Protection System in reducing domestic violence was also found to be very high from the perspective of the study participants, with an overall mean score of (4.28 out of 5.00).

3. There were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean responses of the study sample regarding the effectiveness of the Protection from Abuse Law in reducing domestic violence. These differences were attributed to the geographical region variable, in favor of participants working in the Makkah and Jazan regions.

هدفت الدراسة إلى تقييم فاعلية نظام الحماية من الايذاء ونظام حماية الطفل في الحد من العنف الأسري من وجهة نظر العاملين في مراكز الحماية الأسرية، وقد استخدمت الباحثة منهج المسح الاجتماعي كمنهج للدراسة، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع العاملين في مراكز الحماية الأسرية في جميع مناطق المملكة العربية السعودية والبالغ عددهم ( 355)، وقد تم سحب عينة منهم بلغ عددها (215)، وقد اعتمدت على الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، وتوصلت الدراسة لنتائج من أهمها: 1.. أن مستوى فاعلية نظام الحماية من الإيذاء في الحد من العنف الأسري جاء بدرجة كبيرة جداًً من وجهة نظر أفراد عينة الدراسة، بمتوسط حسابي عام بلغ (4.27 من 5.00). 2.. أن مستوى فاعلية نظام حماية الطفل في الحد من العنف الأسري جاء بدرجة كبيرة جداًً من وجهة نظر أفراد عينة الدراسة، بمتوسط حسابي عام بلغ( 4.28 من 5.00). 3.. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05 ≤ ∝) بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة حول فاعلية نظام الحماية من الإيذاء في الحد من العنف الأسري، تُُعزى إلى متغير المنطقة الجغرافية لصالح أفراد الدراسة من العاملين في منطقتي مكة المكرمة وجازان.
